Buffon: Navas Enough For Madrid

Gianluigi Buffon recently felt Real Madrid had a great goalkeeper in Keylor Navas so there was no reason to recruit young goalkeeper AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The reason, with Juventus, Buffon feel 4-1 defeat of Real Madrid in the Champions League final in June, when the Spanish giants club successfully became the first team that could win the competition between European clubs twice in cultivation in the modern era.

Navas was Madrid’s top goalkeeper in the two successes, but that did not stop rumors that Zinedine Zidane’s team was still looking for a new goalkeeper in the transfer market.

And when asked if Madrid should recruit a new goalkeeper like his Italian team-mate Donnarumma, Buffon replied to the local media, “Real Madrid have nothing short of in the last ten years, they have recruited the best footballers,”

“Keylor Navas is a great goalkeeper, although there are some who do not like it.”

“They have won two Champions League titles with him and he often plays an important role in their journey to become champions.”

“I do not believe they need to recruit new goalkeepers, because the results show they can win.”
